Tracey Coulter

Ms. Tracey Coulter is actively engaged in American chestnut restoration and has been a member of the state chapter of the American Chestnut foundation for over 20 years. She attended Miami University (Ohio) where I studied German and Botany and later attended Penn State University where I studied Forest biology and Human Dimensions in Forestry. She currently serves as Agroforestry Coordinator in the Rural & Community Forestry Section of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry where she works to strengthen working landscapes by building the connections among sustainable forestry, sustainable agriculture, and healthy watersheds. She and her husband are engaged in restoring an 1830’s log cabin in Centre County, Pennsylvania, where they are tending a “forest farm” including shiitake mushrooms, ramps, ginseng, goldenseal, and, of course, chestnuts.
